They don’t just look like Bon Jovi but they recreate them with heart stopping accuracy. We attended The Bon Jovi Experience concert in Salisbury City Hall on June 14, and it was a performance that could not leave anybody unmoved.
I’ve been a Bon Jovi fan for most of my life – more than 15 years – and wasn’t sure how I felt about a Bon Jovi Tribute band. I was pleasantly surprised by how The Bon Jovi Experience sounds and looks!
First impressions were that the band was wearing their famous outfits, Jon was wearing a jeans jacket and Richie his well-known hat.
Tony (Jon) not only sounds just like Jon Bon Jovi but also had the energetic stage show presence and movements. He engaged with the audience, making them sing and dance.
Last song of their repertoire was the band’s top hit ‘Livin’ on a Prayer’ and I need to admit that I felt nostalgic. The performance was an exact interpretation of Bon Jovi’s concert in Wembley, 1995: a perfectly-played song that even the guitarist was making the same face gestures.
At the end of the concert, we spoke to Jon who said: “We loved the venue and we thank you for making all that noise! We definitely will be back!”
Overall, the evening was outstanding, and if blindfolded, it would be hard to tell the difference between original and tribute band.
It was all very professional and entertaining.
