Upcycling will be a key focus throughout The Square, using old materials and creating a new upbeat theme for the whole of Bristol to enjoy. Located in Millennium Square just behind the hustle and bustle of the iconic Bristol waterfront, The Square will create a family friendly haven alongside entertainment for adults of all ages running for six weeks only. The Square’, which has been created by Pure Spaces, working alongside We The Curious, will kick off from Thursday July 25th running to 7th September. The hottest spot in town will feature Bristol Beach Club, fitness activities including Sunrise Yoga, Bump Roller Disco and free film screenings from Big Screen Bristol. Visitors can enjoy a taptail (cocktails on tap), delicious street food from local food heroes Cow Shed and Pepe Nero with the chance to relax in their own private cabana. As the evening rolls in; music, free outdoor film screenings and competitive games will keep everyone coming back for more this summer.
With enough entertainment for all ages, participates have the opportunity to start the day with a spot of sunrise yoga followed by a hearty bowl of fresh healthy breakfast. The games areas will feature dedicated pétanque and corn hole setups alongside a BUMP Roller Disco stage taking up the rest of Millennium Square. Deckchairs will be available throughout the summer to watch popular family films on Big Screen Bristol’s 296 inch display.
The food and drinks area named Bristol Beach Club will host bespoke pop-up converted shipping containers and a rare designed space which isn’t just a bar; guests will be transported to their own little beach holiday right in Bristol city centre. The food comes from The Cowshed: Bristol’s finest butchers and steak restaurant. They’ll bring the best of their flame-grilled succulent BBQ meat. Other food will be provided by Pepe Nero upholding an independent vibe with this family-run business who brought Bristol their first vegan pizza.
