Wiltshire County Cricket Club has begun their preparations for the 2019 season. Three T20 matches over the past two weeks resulted in two wins against Dorset and a loss versus Gloucestershire.
On Sunday, April 14 they beat Dorset twice at South Wilts Cricket Club. In the morning match Dorset batted first and scored 120 for seven wickets and Ryan Murray took three for 24.
Wiltshire replied by scoring 121 for 2 wickets to win by eight wickets. Tom Morton scored 48 and Jake Goodwin 65 not out. They put on 102 for the first wicket.
Later in the day, Wiltshire batted first and scored 149 for nine wickets (Tom Morton 78) and Dorset made 121 for eight wickets in reply, resulting in Wiltshire winning by 28 runs.
The week before, on Sunday, April 7 Wiltshire lost to Gloucestershire 2nd XI by 13 runs at Warminster. Gloucestershire scored 141 for eight wickets in their 20 overs and Wiltshire were all out for 128. Jake Lintott scored 40 not out.
Next Sunday Wiltshire travel to Nort Maidenhead CC to p[lay Berkshire in the annual Marlborough Cup match. This will also be two T20 matches with the first starting at 11am.
