Angus Corrie-Deane and Tiny Tempur (pictured) were selected for Team GB for the first International of 2019, hosted by the UK last month.
It was a great show for many of the top GB talents, with GB Olympians Charlotte Dujardin winning the Prix St George Class and Carl Hester winning the Grand Prix on Nip Tuck.
Local rider Angus, 19, was selected to compete in the U21 Prix St George Class and came away with 4th on day 1, 5th on day 2, and since the top combinations then qualify for the Dressage to Music on the 3rd day, he was through – and was 4th.
Never more than 1% away from the winning score, this was a strong early-season show for the talented local dressage star, and we wish him every success for the rest of 2019. Valley News will follow his progress throughout the coming months.
