New community football club for city.

A chance to fly to Germany on holiday, and benefit charities too, is on offer from a new community six-a- side football competition ready for kick off in Salisbury.

The league – run by Leisure Leagues, provider of small-sided soccer, kicks off on September 2 at Salisbury and South Wilts Sports Club every Sunday, 6pm to 8pm.

Games cost £30 – with the first game free. Leisure Leagues Monthly Star Prize, drawn at the end of the season and broadcast live on the firm’s Facebook Page, is an all-expenses paid trip for the whole team to a Bundesliga match.

As well as health benefits to players and the chance to win the holiday, another reason to sign up is Leisure Leagues claim to be the only football provider donating the profits from the league to charities – with Cancer Research UK and The Dogs Trust among beneficiaries.

New Business Manager, Sam Jones admitted he couldn’t wait to get cracking. He said: “We’ve been running leagues for 30 years and really looking forward to bringing our unique brand of football here.”
