Salisbury Hockey Club’s Ladies 1s won 11-0 against Chippenham on March 23.

They also won the league and secured promotion, with a 15-0-2 record and a whopping 81 goal difference.

Captain Julie Selbie said it has been a brilliant season.

“It’s been a great team performance, with one game to go we have not lost yet and have only drawn two, it’s not often you can say that!”

The team plays their final league game on March 30, away against second-placed Blandford & Sturminster Hockey Club.

Next season, the ladies move to the Hampshire leagues, with playoffs on April 14 to determine if they go into The South League Div 3B or Hampshire Div 1.

“We still have more to play for this year and are really looking forward to the new challenges playing in a new league will give us,” Julie said.
