Riverside Tennis Club holds its annual tournament on Sunday, September 1. Throughout the summer, members have fought hard in qualifiers to earn a spot on finals day.

The tournament starts at 9.30am at Fisherton Farm Allotments, off Kingsland Road, Salisbury, SP2 7DG and features a variety of adult competitions and junior matches with age groups ranging from girls and boys 8 years and under up to 18 years.

With plenty of courts available spectators won’t be short of action and refreshments will be served throughout the day, including a barbecue run by members.

Riverside is a friendly, family orientated club with professional coaches and a variety of membership options available to suit all standards.

This Autumn the club aims to expand, building two additional hard courts to the existing six, three of which are being resurfaced with artificial grass.

Tennis is seen as an elitist sport but Riverside has always rejected that label as it is a community club that welcomes everybody, the club says.
