Sixth Form students at Sarum Academy again made ‘good progress’ across the board in A Levels and BTECs, according to Jonathan Curtis, Headteacher.
“The academy’s blended curriculum of A Level and BTECs courses has proven to be the right pathway for students, helping them to achieve highly. I am delighted to share the success of our new Sports BTEC in partnership with Southampton Football Club.
“The demands of the new BTECs are higher than ever, however a number of students achieved triple distinctions across the board. Pupils achieved an average grade of a Merit in BTECs and grade C at A level, in line with the national average. This demonstrates a positive value-added score for the academy.
“I congratulate all students and acknowledge the efforts of the staff team at Sarum and the support of parents. I wish students every success in their future endeavours whether into university, further education or employment.
