South Wilts Grammar School celebrated another excellent year of GCSE results.

Students were congratulated and their success was ‘a credit to their hard work and determination to do well’, a school statement said.

“The number of students achieving the very highest grades is yet again outstanding for the  132 students who took a total of 1,338 GCSE qualifications: 49.7% of the grades awarded were 8-9, and 25% of all grades were awarded the top grade 9:. 72.8% of all grades awarded were grade 7-9 with 91.6% of all graded 6-9.

And 100% achieved a grade 4 or higher in English and maths, with 100% of the passes in English graded 5 or above, and 99% in maths.

“We are very proud of all our students’ achievements, they have all made strong progress.”
