My heart went out to the Sixpenny Handley woman vilified after her dog attacked a flock of sheep, after all she wasn’t expecting to find sheep (unless holding golf clubs) in fields formerly used as a golf course.
Many farmers are fast enough to sell off land for housing development without a thought about where they are going to put their animals. When they purchased or inherited their land, they knew full well.
Rights of way have existed for hundreds of years, and wherever you go, they seem to be deliberately obstructing access with barriers, tree trunks, concrete and heaps of soil.
This is going on all over the country side, denying access to the land and woods which has been our heritage for centuries.
