Seven-year-old Salisbury Cathedral School pupils, twins Robert and William Wallace, completed a 20-mile bike ride.

They visited 15 different churches in Wiltshire as part of ‘Ride and Stride’ – a sponsored bike ride or walk. Supporters all over England walked or cycled between churches, exploring and enjoying the countryside. Money raised helps to save historic churches, chapels and meeting houses for future generations by funding urgent repairs and installing modern facilities.

Robert and William raised £1,100 so far, to be shared between St Thomas’s Church, Salisbury, and St. Lawrence’s Church, Stratford Sub-Castle. They said their favourite part of the cycle ride was comparing biscuit refreshments on offer at the different churches.
