On their visit to Salisbury Cathedral, Year 6 pupils of the city’s Leehurst Swan school learned about the lives of people from medieval times, including a stonemason, King John and Lady Katherine Grey. The pupils explored parts of the cathedral, looking at the Magna Carta and displays of medieval artefacts, and the pillory proved more popular than it might have been in medieval times!

One of the stories they had heard was used as inspiration to write their own story, based on one of the characters. The pupils came up with some great ideas to develop.
