A distraught mother has demanded ‘justice’ after her ‘only daughter’ was found dead in the early hours in a top psychiatric hospital.
Agnes Rozario said the big question was why she died.
Voluntary patient Anna Rozario, 24, was confirmed dead just before 6am by medical staff in an acute ward at Fountain Way, Salisbury.
Now, Agnes, 56, from Warminster, demanded to know what happened. She claimed Anna was found dead after not being checked for an hour.
”I need justice – why she died like this. It is a big question for me. She is my only daughter, my only child. This is very upsetting
“She had mental health problems – it was too much.”
Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust, which runs the hospital, refused to comment about the death.
It declined to say if it was holding an inquiry.
Yesterday, June 9, Wiltshire Police stressed there were no suspicious circumstances.
An inquest in Salisbury was told Anna Rozario was confirmed dead at 5.51am on May 27 at Fountain Way Hospital.
A post mortem failed to find the cause of death and toxicology tests were ordered. It is expected to take at least three months.
The inquest was adjourned to a date to be fixed.
