Wiltshire council’s new leader is not yet in place but has already been challenged by the Lib Dem opposition group on the council.
Ian Thorn, group leader has challenged the three prospective Tory candidates for Wiltshire leader on five key areas:
wholeheartedly endorse Wiltshire Council’s policy on climate emergency and champion it’s implementation:
re-introduce a youth service to the county:
expand the Shared Lives programme:
move from a cabinet model to a committee structure:
hold a hustings meeting for all councillors.
“All five challenges focus on our long term future, our support for the most vulnerable and good governance,” Ian said. “I look forward to a healthy debate.”
