Salisbury’s best dressed window is Independent jewellers on Bridge Street, H R Tribbeck in a competition run by Salisbury BID.
The family jewellers have been trading in Salisbury since 1905, and is currently run by Rachel Tribbeck, great granddaughter of Herbert Tribbeck who established the business.
Businesses say that, during the busy festive season, there’s nothing more important than a beautifully-decorated shop window to attract customers, increasing footfall and encouraging spending. That’s why Salisbury BID ran a best dressed window competition – to promote businesses and help make Salisbury look and feel extra magical this Christmas.
All businesses within the city centre were invited to take part in the competition.
Entries were uploaded to the BID’s Facebook page and the public were invited to vote for their favourite window. The competition reached more than 11,000 people, and 1,700 people voted.
Rachel Tribbeck, partner in H R Tribbeck, said: “We take huge pride in our shop window all year round and it’s an honour to have been named as Salisbury’s best dressed window this Christmas.
“Thank you to the BID for running this competition. It gave us exposure to potential new customers who we wouldn’t have been able to reach on our own.”
BID marketing and communications manager, Kara Rogers, said: “It’s a challenging time for retailers, both nationally and in Salisbury, and it’s really important that businesses make the most of all opportunities given to them. So well done to all the businesses who took advantage of this free promotion and entered the competition – you’re all winners in our eyes!”
