Saturday 29 June is Armed Forces Day nationally, marked in Salisbury with a military parade through the city.
Activities at Hudson’s Field during the three days include an air show and military displays, children’s and community activities, free live entertainment every day and a firework finale on Saturday evening.
On Sunday, the focus is on veterans and young people, who have served and who may serve, with a commemoration and drumhead service, supported by the Royal British Legion, with the Bishop of Salisbury and padres leading the service, and creation of a human poppy in the main arena.
The event is supported by platinum sponsors KBR Aspire Defence and Lovell and the official main charity partner SSAFA.
Celebrations begin on Monday, June 24, when the Armed Forces Day flag is raised on buildings and landmarks across the country.
