On June 9, Mere Fete in St Michael’s Church showed how it is working with the local community hosting functions, Tower tours were organised, a classic car rally which included a Ford GT, a 1960s successful competitor to Ferrari.  Also present was a GPO (now Post Office and many other businesses) motor bike.

This year the church fete became the Mere Fete. On the day, other major functions in the town included a ‘Bigger Bottom’, organised walk and Dogwise Training School dog show.
