More than 70 walkers walked four miles with a climb of 370ft around Great Bottom, to the North of Mere.  In great weather, splendid views and a display of kites, after crossing the finish line, they were rewarded with a goody bag containing the highly valued ‘A Bigger Bottom’ badge to wear with pride.

Donations from the walkers allowed the organisers, Healthy Mere Walking, to donate to Mere and District Link Scheme £383.  The group thanked sponsors: ASDA Gillingham, Coop Mere, Tiddlers and Toddlers, Wiltshire Council South West Area Board, Plantworld for supplying the ‘Finish’ arch, and  all of the volunteers who helped make it happen.
