The Young Women’s Institute Salisbury, a group that aims to inspire women to share experiences and learn new skills, celebrates their first birthday this January.

Following an action-packed year of crafts, adventures and the popular ‘Star Baker’ competition, the group wants to continue to grow and is looking for new members.

It is a group of ‘traditional’ Women’s Institute, but looks to attract younger generations.

The first year was filled creative and energetic activities including archery, forest school, sugar craft, hula hooping and YWIS enjoyed a talk and a hands-on demonstration at Salisbury’s fire station.

The group meet on the fourth Tuesday of the month at the Wilton Pavilion and always welcome new members.

YWIS is a friendly, inclusive group of women who exchange ideas, share new experiences and enjoy connecting with like-minded ladies.

To take part in all the fun, visit their Facebook page YWI Salisbury for more details or come along to their first meeting of the year on January 29, which will include an Electrical Masterclass.

Membership fee is £42, or £5 per session.
