Police want help to identify the owner of a dog which bit a woman in Salisbury.

A woman in her 20s was walking along Carmelite Way at about 6.55pm on Friday, May 11 when she was bitten on the leg by a passing dog. She was left with bruising under her knee.

The dog, like a black and white collie cross, was with a girl aged 14 or 15, described as white, skinny build, shoulder-length blonde hair tied up, and wearing a black zipped hoodie, jeans and trainers.
She was walking with a young boy, aged about 10, also walking a dog.

PC Jeannette Brownsea, from Wiltshire South Community Policing Team Support, said: “Luckily the victim wasn’t badly hurt, but this could have been more serious, especially if it had been a child who had been bitten.”
