A robbery in Wilton in the early hours of Saturday, March 1, is being investigated by Police.

The victim, a taxi driver, was flagged down in St Andrews Close at the junction of Bulbridge Road by a woman at about 1 am.

The woman distracted the driver and a man approached the car, assaulted the victim and demanded cash before both ran off towards Randall Croft Road.

The victim sustained a small injury to his neck in the incident.

The woman was described as white, mid – late 20s, petite, and wearing a brown/green cagoule.

The man was described as white, also in his mid-to-late 20s, about 6ft tall, wearing a padded jacket, jeans and white trainers.

Searches in the area and enquiries are currently ongoing.
