Shaftesbury’s Neighbourhood Plan for the next 12 years has taken a significant step towards completion, according to a council report.
Housing and employment, open green spaces, including landscape, town centre, design and heritage, and community facilities, form the backbone of the plan which will affect all planning decisions in the future, the council says.
Tim Edwyn-Jones, Neighbourhood Plan chairperson, said: “We are very close to being able to our share the aims and objectives for the plan with the wider Shaftesbury community. The team should feel very proud of their work.”
The Neighbourhood Plan group wants views from the community arbout the policy intentions and to encourage the Shaftesbury townspeople to have their say.
