Salisbury MP John Glen joined Police officers on a shift in the city.

Wiltshire South Community Policing Team invited Mr Glen to a briefing, and weekly multi-agency tasking meeting, before going out in a patrol car.

With PC Josh Bliss, he responded to a report of anti-social behaviour in Lower Bemerton, before joining CID for an arrest attempt as part of an investigation into a sexual assault.

Cannabis was found at the suspect’s address so he was also arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs.

Mr Glen said: “I was grateful to be invited to spend a day with Salisbury Police and extremely impressed with the dedication and professionalism of Josh – and all the officers I met.”
