A speed camera switched off five years ago because it was hidden behind a hedge is now working again – after the hedge was removed.
The camera was shut down in 2013 at Charlton Marshall, near Blandford, Dorset..
Now the 19-year-old camera has started to ‘work again’ enforcing the 30-mile-an-hour limit
Dorset County Council confirmed at the request of the police it had just painted new bright white lines on the road which means the camera can now be used.
Charlton Marshall Parish Council chairman Tim Hill said: “If you do 40 there now you will get flashed. I saw a van flashed. I am very pleased”
Dorset Police said: “It could very well be active now.”
