Volunteer room guides are needed to welcome visitors and share the stories of

Mompesson House, the 18th-century townhouse in Salisbury’s Cathedral Close.

The house is open to visitors every day between March and early November and the National Trust team who look after the tourist attraction want volunteers to help out on Thursdays and Fridays, and at weekends.

Emma James, visitor experience officer at the house, said: “We’re keen to welcome new faces of all ages to our friendly and enthusiastic team at Mompesson. If you have time to spare, whether a few hours or days a month, we’d love to hear from you. Please phone the house on 01722 335659 or email mompessonhouse@nationaltrust.org.uk
