Salisbury’s crematorium is to undergo works in the grounds and Garden of Remembrance, and on its trees.
More than 1,400 cremations in the past 12 months reflect the growing trend at about 75% of funerals. Many families opt for a pre-paid arrangement of which Salisbury Crematorium can be a part in a competitive market.
City councillor Sven Hocking, Head of the Services Committee believes Salisbury is offering a first class facility where the bereaved are treated with compassion and respect.
Salisbury Crematorium is the only crematorium owned and managed by a parish council and any surplus income is re-invested into the City of Salisbury.
