Two free train tickets are on offer when children are travelling with adults who buy a promotional Off-Peak or Super Off-Peak ticket.
South Western Railway (SWR) offers free children’s travel to any destination on its network during Off-Peak hours in its LiveBigHalfTerm scheme.
Tickets are valid for travel between Sunday, May 19 and Sunday, June 2, to start or finish a journey outside the London Travelcard area.
They can be purchased in advance or on the day of travel through the SWR website, app and at station ticket offices, or via Trainline. The offer applies to children aged between five and 15, but children under five always travel free.
SWR is running a competition on Facebook and Instagram for the best half-term family photo. Customers that follow South Western Railway and share their adventures using #LiveBigHalfTerm could win a fantastic family day out for four people at Shrek’s Adventure! in London, and other prizes, including a Kindle Fire 7 and Beryl light accessories.
Peter Williams, South Western Railway’s commercial director, said:
“It’s a great opportunity for families to ‘Live Big’ this half-term, experience the sights and sounds of London, discover and explore sandy beaches of Dorset, ancient woods of the New Forest, tranquillity of the Isle of Wight and the heritage of Windsor, and many other destinations.”
