Young and old had fun together with staff, residents, relatives and members of the local community at a Summer party in the gardens of Milford House Care Home care home, Salisbury, on Sunday, June 23.
They shared cream teas, live music from Dolly and the Dactyles, art activities for the younger generation with Creative Minds, a Plant Staff and a raffle.
Marie-Therese Tiernan, general manager, said: “It was a magical afternoon, the weather was perfect – warm but not too sunny – and the garden was packed with residents, family members, visitors and staff all having a wonderful time. We are incredibly fortunate to have such varied and extensive gardens which are such an asset to our home and it was lovely that the weather played along and allowed us to use them to the full. For anyone who missed the opportunity, we are celebrating National Care Home Open Day on June 28, between 11am and 4pm when the home and gardens will again be open, with refreshments and a plant stall.”
Milford House care home is run by Barchester Healthcare, providing residential care, nursing care and respite care for 72 residents from short to long term stays.
