An undiscovered letter from Churchill himself is only one of the surprises in the Salisbury episodes of the Antiques Roadshow.

Viewers of the upcoming show can expect to find out all about a mysterious object linked to the Titanic, a well-used watch with connections to early moon exploration and an undiscovered letter written by Churchill.

And there are items of museum quality too, such as an exquisite piece of Indian textile and a prized collection of Gurkha medals.

The first episode of Salisbury Antiques Roadshow is on Sunday, September 15 on BBC 1 at 8pm.

On May 14, for the first time since 1990, BBC Antiques Roadshow was back in Salisbury and thousands of people gathered at the Cathedral to have their items valued.
