Chalkdown Cider, in Andover Down, Hampshire was awarded Gold for the Best Bottle Fermented Cider at UK’s largest cider competition, the British Cider Championships.

The Championship became a prestigious and prominent annual event in the cider-making calendar, attracting entries from many cider enthusiasts, artisan producers, prominent and well-established cider makers.

Chalkdown topped its category of Bottle Fermented Cider, cider aged for more than one year, with yeast and disgorged, presented in a Champagne bottle with a cork and cage).

The award adds to the long list for Chalkdown which includes the Trophy at the International Cider Challenge in 2017 and 2018; 1st prize at the Royal Three Counties Show in 2018; and a Great Taste Award in 2018.
