Shaftesbury Town Council’s business manager Mrs Brie Logan has been awarded a Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA).

Mayor of Shaftesbury Cllr Tim Cook said: “We congratulate Brie on achieving this qualification in her own time while also fulfilling her demanding role as business manager.”

Brie Logan said: “I am delighted to have passed the CiLCA qualification and I’m already using the knowledge to add value in my role.”

The National Training Strategy‘s Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA) is awarded to those who submit a portfolio of evidence, demonstrating their skills in local council administration. CiLCA is a level 3 qualification completed over a year. All the Town Council’s officers hold either IlCA, CiLCA or Certificate of Higher Education in Community Governance – sector specific qualifications at level 2 and higher, providing professional advice and guidance to the council.
