Police want  information about an incident in Salisbury in which a 12-year-old boy sustained some bruising to his right leg but had no serious injuries.

At about 3.40pm on Thursday, January 10, the boy got off a bus in Westwood Road near Rambridge Crescent, and started to cross the road but was struck by a car.

The vehicle is described as a small red coloured car and the driver is said to be an older white man with an older woman in the front passenger seat.

The driver stopped and checked on the boy but did not exchange any details and drove off.

PC Jim Brown said: “It is likely someone would have seen this incident – we are keen to hear from anyone who either witnessed it or anyone who has dash cam footage.

“Fortunately, the young boy did not suffer any serious injury – he went to Salisbury District Hospital as a precaution but was released the same evening.”
