Four staff from a Salisbury care home completed a sponsored abseil to raise funds for Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
Penka Apostolova, senior sister, Bill Smith, head of maintenance, Xia Xiaoying, care practitioner and carer Clare Nash, abseiled down the side of Avon Gorge near Clifton Suspension Bridge and raised more than £500 with the support of sponsorsed donations.
Penka is a Sister at Milford House Care Home, and residents, relatives and staff at the home cheered on her and colleagues.
Penka said: “My goal was to raise awareness of the fantastic job the Wiltshire Air Ambulance aiding people and families across the county. Everyone at Milford House has been supportive; I’m usually a little afraid of heights but it was for such a good cause so that kept me focused. I would do it again in a heartbeat.”
