Wiltshire Wildlife Trust (WWT)’s annual Country Comes To The City is a free open-air event from 10am to 4pm in Guildhall Square. It features a range of family-friendly, wildlife-inspired activities such as animal face-painting, basket-weaving, and pole-lathing, sheep, birds of prey, and bees up close to learn more about them.
Exhibits will showcase Wiltshire’s amazing but threatened wildlife and the work of WWT restoring habitats and protecting animal and plant species. Experts offer advice on wildlife-friendly gardening and sustainable living.
The event is sponsored by Wessex Water, celebrating 20 years of a joint project with WWT and others to restore Wiltshire’s chalk streams.
WWT holds its annual meeting and Volunteer Awards on the same day in the Guildhall Crown Court Room.
