On an April Saturday, lovers of fine things de-scended, once again, in Mere where Walton House Antiques held their bi-annual event.

The event is intended to thank customers past, present and future, for their continued support, and for that support, they were royally – treated to fine wines from Yapp Brothers, canapés and live music, a wonderful range of fine and country furniture, oil paintings, clocks by Richard Price of BBC’s Antiques Road-show and some delightful 20th century and Victorian jewellery and Silver to peruse over.

“Over the past six years, Walton House Antiques have been dedicated to finding the best possible items for their customers, regularly unearthing impor-tant pieces with colourful histories and provenance, some of which have gone on to Museums and collections far and wide. So, at a time when we are looking to reconnect with our past, as a nation, there has never been a better time to become a custodian of some of that rich and varied legacy we produced in preceding centuries, when we were a truly global nation,” said joint owner Nick Arkell.
