A new event planned this summer for the over 60s by Salisbury City Council, the ‘Senior Games’, is an Olympic-style event to increase physical activity in older members of the community.
Participants can take part in various activities, including New Age curling, boccia, bowling, adapted discus and many more. The fun, inclusive activity targets potential inactivity in the older generation by engaging them in different and interactive experiences and the chance to meet and interact with each other, with a free lunch provided.
The event is on Tuesday, August 20, and booking for teams is now open to care homes and groups, and individuals .
