St. Peter’s CE Primary Academy, just outside Wilton, is a new primary school for the area, the first to be built for many years

Due to the huge expansion of new housing developments to the west of Salisbury, work has begun on the new academy at St Peter’s Place, and is initially open to primary pupils aged 4 to 11.

With an opening planned for September 2018, the school will initially take in just 90 students, but will gradually increase capacity  in the first instance, to 315.

Benefiting from purpose built facilities, including a large hall, large outside green space with playing fields and habitat areas, the school will provide a rich and nourishing environment enabling children to thrive socially and academically.

St Peter’s is part of the Diocese of Salisbury Academy Trust, established for a many years and already running successful schools in Wiltshire and Dorset.

Applications are open now for Reception-age pupils due to start school in September 2018.

If you have a child due to start school then, or children in Years 1, 2, 3 or 4 who require school places, you can attend one of the open events to see what St Peter’s can offer your child and how you can apply.  As construction has only just started, the open days will be at the Diocesan Education Centre, The Avenue, Wilton (next to the Park and Ride) where plans and details about the new school are available.

Parents are  welcome to attend one of the events: Thursday, October 5, 1-3pm: Friday, October 6, 6-8pm: Saturday, October 7, 10-12 noon: Monday October 9, 10-12 noon.
