Most of Wiltshire families – 98.4% – were offered one of their three primary school preferences for September, 93% had their first preference on offer.
According to Wiltshire council, most parents apply for places online – 95% of the 5,144 applications. The right to an independent appeal is open to anyone who has not received an offer at one of their preferred schools. The deadline for lodging an appeal for a voluntary controlled or community school is Monday, May 13.
