Shaftesbury Camera Club starts its new year with a programme of talks, competitions, workshops and outings to meet members’ favourite venues. and welcomes new members at any stage of photography.

The 2019-2020 programme features top class guest photographers and speakers, friendly competitions and practical evenings, member presentations, and home and away matches with neighbouring clubs.

Additional full-evening informal workshops for paid-up members are run throughout the season, providing short one-to-one sessions on various aspects of photography. Members can suggest what they would like covered.

Possible topics include composition, camera settings, Photoshop and software, colour management and printing, mounts, and preparing PDIs.

First meting is on Thursday, 7.30pm on September 12.

Special evenings: Thursday, November 14 – Western Counties Photographic Federation lecturers – John & Di Tilsley as guest speakers.
Thursday, January 30 – An In-house Audio Visual when members can submit a short AV of any subject to share among members – a fun evening.

Saturday, May 2 to Friday, May 8 – members Annual Exhibition in Gold Hill Museum.

Thursday, April 30 – STAR Night Speaker – Robert Harvey, professional photographer who leads tours, inspired by remote locations.

Subscription is £30 for a full season (September to May) but you can join at any time. Meet two or three times a month on Thursdays from 7.30 – 9.30 pm at The Royal British Legion Hall, Shaftesbury SP7 8PD.
