May bank holiday weekend marks the inaugural Wessex Beltane Banger at Martha’s Down, off the A303 near Hindon, on Friday May 3 to Sunday May 6.

The event is determined to show Britain that Salisbury is one of the best places to come to a festival.

The new festival has a wide range of acts such as Captain Accident & The Disasters, Palm Reader, Gypsy Jukebox and world-renowned Techno acts such as Chris Liberator and Meat Katie, to name a few. It will also have entertainment that will have you “absolutely blown away, but we will also take care of you!” the organisers said.

During the daytime, festivalgoers can play games such as table tennis, beer pong, bubble football – to name a few.

Posh showers and toilets, multiple food vendors, including several vegan options, are also promised.

Several fire dance shows throughout the weekend are capped with a fireworks display of epic proportions.
