Chapterhouse Theatre Company comes to Arundells, Salisbury, this summer as part of its 20th Anniversary Open-Air Tour.
The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett is on Thursday, July 11 and Cranford, by Elizabeth Gaskell, is on Tuesday, August 27.
In The secret Garden, join young Mary Lennox on a journey of discovery as she is sent to her uncle’s house in the countryside, where mysteries and secrets lurk round every corner. As she makes new friends and encounters magical creatures, Mary has one burning question: where is the location of her uncle’s secret garden, and where has he hidden the key?
Step back in time with Chapterhouse and find yourself whisked into the world of small-town life in Victorian England, as Elizabeth Gaskell’s Cranford is adapted for performances in some of the UK and Ireland’s most beautiful open-air venues. In the sleepy village of Cranford, a mysterious new arrival is setting hearts aflutter… But can lost loves and old friendships withstand the drama of snobbery, gossip, and social scandal?
