Senior Curator of Paintings at The Royal Collection Trust Lucy Whitaker shows her personal favourites from the Royal Collection at Salisbury’s Young Gallery in June.

On Wednesday, June 19, between 7pm and 8.30pm, visitors in the city can view one of the largest and most important art collections in the world.

The unique collection is a valuable record of the personal tastes of Kings and Queens over the past 500 years and is one of the last great European royal collections to remain intact.

Lucy said: “I have made a selection of some of the outstanding paintings in the Royal Collection to share with you. Every one of them is a masterpiece and was of great importance to a particular royal collector and all of them are my personal favourites.”

‘From Caravaggio to Freud’ is in the Young Galley, Market Place, Salisbury, SP1 1BL and entry is £5, cash payable on the day.
