Libraries Week returns to Wiltshire from October 9 to 14.
During the week, Wiltshire Council libraries have free activities and promotions celebrating and highlighting services they provide, alongside regular activities, including rhyme times, reading groups, health trainer sessions, memory groups and computer help clubs.
Could you describe your local library in one word to be part of the special displays in the libraries?
A host of fun and free activities are planned as part of Salisbury’s Secret Libraries, a special display all week of maps and other items rarely seen from the library store.
On Saturday, October 7, a talk by Emily Naish is on the Highlights of Salisbury Cathedral Library – Medieval to Modern, Music to Mice. Libraries, past present and future is on Monday, October 9, 2pm, and a variety of children’s fun activities on Saturday, October 14.
Join a Wiltshire library during the week and be automatically entered into a prize draw, with one newly-joined child member and one adult member selected at random winning a prize.
There will also be special book quizzes for children and adults.
