Their numbers were up

A bingo bonanza raised £478 plus a £5 donation started a winning week for Mere Carnival committee, and a beach party at The Butt of Sherry included a small lorry load of real sand on the floor, and a barbecue. The Landlord of The But of Sherry, Glen Ings  donated about £150.00 from The Beech Party to the Mere Carnival.

On Saturday, September 15, the Grand Evening Procession moves off from White Road at 7.30pm after the Thursday Film Night in The Lecture Hall, and on Friday night is a skittles tournament.

Harvest Festival at The United Reform Church was on Sunday.

Sunday 9th September saw the brave volunteers securing the carnival bunting.

The beach party at The Butt of Sherry included a small lorry of sand on the floor and a barbecue, picture of Cliff (Clifford Stafford) getting in the swing of things.
