Designer clothes stolen from removal van in city

Police are calling for witnesses to a theft from the removal van in Paynes Hill, Salisbury, at about 10.15am on Tuesday, May 8.

Bags of designer clothing were stolen from the van parked outside the address the victim was moving into.

Two sports bags, one black Adidas rucksack and one dark blue Salzenger holdall, containing thousands of pounds worth of designer clothes, were taken when the van was unattended.

PCSO Gareth James, from Wiltshire South Community Policing Team, said: “The victim remembers seeing two men acting suspiciously in the area around the time of the theft and we hope their descriptions will jog someone’s memory.”

House to house enquiries and CCTV footage in the area have not been successful so far.

One man is described as white, 18 to 20 years old, with a gaunt-looking thin face. He was wearing a black tracksuit with cream colour under the arms and around the back, a white Nike baseball cap and dark blue trainers.

The second was also white, aged 18 to 20. He was about 6ft 3ins with a gaunt squarish face, wearing dark blue jeans, a shirt dark blue on the bottom and striped blue on the top, and black shoes with a white stripe.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PCSO James on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111, anonymously.
