Crowd-funding support plan for city attack

A group is raising £6,000 through crowdfunding to support the emergency services, victims and families of those affected by the Salisbury ‘Nerve Agent’ poisoning.

Salisbury was shaken by a serious incident which attracted worldwide attention.

“A father and his daughter have been targeted and poisoned by a nerve agent, and whilst this is horrific enough, one of our brave police officers has also fallen victim and is in a serious condition.

“He was working his regular shift, committed to protecting our community from harm. Since attending to help, he has needed specialist care from our amazing team at Salisbury District Hospital.

“While the police and emergency services ensure our safety, we would like to thank them for all they do to protect and save lives. The funds raised will go to the appropriate benevolent charities, counselling services supporting personnel and their families, and the Salisbury Hospital Stars Appeal,” said Katie Doherty, one of the crowdfunding organisers.
