Free yoga sessions during the summer months started on August 4 in the Rose Garden, Park Walk, Shaftesbury. Local resident, Kirsty Elliot, an experienced yoga instructor, has been passionate about Yoga for eight years.
She thought it would be great to continue to hold free yoga sessions to bring more people into the town. She said: “Saturday was amazing, as 65 people turned up. Everyone found the yoga very accessible, I had people who had not moved in the right way for years, bendy fit people, experienced yogis and everyone enjoyed together and created a lovely peaceful atmosphere.”
Sessions are on Saturday, August 11 and 25, and September 1, at the same place at 10:30 to 11:15am.
Shaftesbury Town Council is supporting the initiative, as it fits its aspirations to provide best value, high quality services and facilities, ensuring that Shaftesbury is a 21st Century Town respecting its heritage and upholding its values making it a great place to live, work, play and visit.
