Wilton Shopping Village rolled back the clock this weekend when the shopping centre hosted its first ever A Very Vintage Sunday.
Over 1,500 people attended the event, which is a record attendance for the market square.
“It was really well attended, the show appealed to all generations and it was great to see so many people,” said Wilton Shopping Village Marketing Manager Phil Maclean.
The day included music from the 30s, 40s and 50s performed by Sticky Toffee Jazz, Vintage Dance lessons, Vintage Dance shows and a Vintage Fashion show.
“The dancing was a real highlight, everyone got involved, the performers looked great and put on a performance to remember,” said Phil.
“What a wonderful day is was. Huge thank you to Sandy Ince, Elevate Vintage Dance and of course to the public, who turned out in force and made such an effort to look so fabulously vintage,” he added.
Many attendees took to Facebook to express their delight in response to the event.
“We all had a brilliant time there today ~ so much talent & entertainment. Roll on the next event,” said Lyn Turner.
“Fabulous day, wonderful event – hope you are going to repeat it,” said Sarah Jane Fletcher.
