Woman bitten by dog in Wilton

Police want  witnesses to come forward after a woman was bitten by a dog in Wilton at about 7pm on January 30.

The victim was out on a run along Russell Street towards the A30 when she passed a woman and a dog walking in the opposite direction towards North Street.

The dog jumped up at her, but it wasn’t until she got home that she realised she had a bite wound which required medical treatment.

The dog is described as a white Staffie-type, and its owner was a woman wearing a light-coloured puffa jacket, and had red or auburn-coloured hair, tied up. Contact PCSO Nicola Clark on 101or anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
