Monty and Mabel’s gin evening

Monty & Mabel’s in Wilton has a gin night every Friday and Saturday until 11pm.

Over 25 gins are stocked and are all served with the correct garnish and flavourings.

Dogs are all welcome and can sample Pawsecco or Bottom Sniffer Beer while you sit back and relax with friends.

World War One experience day

Learn about the Great War in the grounds of Salisbury Cathedral. A replica of a war trench will be in-situ, and the only airworthy Bristol Scout aeroplane will also be there.

A replica of a Mark II WWI tank, a Royal Signals Museum WWI communications exhibit, and talks from experts are all part of the two-day exhibition which finishes at 5pm on Saturday.

WW1 experience day: Friday and Saturday, October 6 and 7, from 9am-5pm at Salisbury Cathedral.

Welcome home to Gillingham library

From 10am-4pm on Saturday, October 7, Gillingham Library is holding a “Fun Palace” event for families.

There are lots of activities for both children and adults, including a demonstration from the award-winning science department at Gillingham School, demonstrating how to do experiments using household items.

Fun Palace at Warminster Library

If not Gillingham, go to Warminster Library, also hosting a “Fun Palace” day, with exciting activities.

Activities for children and adults include Lego Robotics, Any Body Can Cook and Tumble Tots.

As with the Gillingham Fun Palace, the event is open from 10am to 4pm on Saturday, October 7.

Together again

St Thomas’s Church,  Salisbury has an evening of choral music from the Salisbury Plain Military Wives Choir.

They sing a variety of traditional and modern songs, something for everyone to enjoy.

The event is in aid of St Thomas’s Church funds and is on from 7:30pm to 9:30pm on Saturday, October 7.

Love that wedding

Wiltshire’s biggest wedding show comes to Salisbury city hall this Sunday, October 8.

The show is open from 11am to 3:30pm and features a huge variety of the country’s best suppliers to help make your big day as perfect as possible: choreographed catwalk shows throughout the day, a hog roast, free champagne and bridal goody-bags.
